After several turkey-filled days off, the Boston Celtics will return to action on Friday night for a game against the Chicago Bulls.
This will be the third of four NBA Cup games for both teams, and there are significant stakes at play.
Both teams are 2-1 heading into the matchup, meaning the outcome could play a key role in determining the top position in the group.
Boston comes into the game on a six-game winning streak, including back-to-back victories over the Minnesota Timberwolves and LA Clippers.
The Bulls, on the other hand, have had a mediocre season so far, going 4-6 over their last 10 games.
Here is the injury report for both teams ahead of the Celtics’ NBA Cup game against the Bulls on Friday, November 29.
Celtics Injury Report vs. Bulls on Friday, November 29:
- Luke Kornet – PROBABLE (right hamstring strain)
Bulls Injury Report vs. Celtics on Friday, November 29:
- Patrick Williams – OUT (foot injury)
- Coby White – QUESTIONABLE (left wrist sprain)
- Dalen Terry – QUESTIONABLE (ankle injury)
- Jalen Smith – QUESTIONABLE (ankle injury)
- Lonzo Ball – PROBABLE (right wrist sprain)
The Celtics’ injury report is relatively light, with the only player listed being Luke Kornet, who is dealing with a hamstring strain. Kornet missed the Celtics’ game against the LA Clippers on Monday night due to this injury.
Notably, this marks the first time this season that Kristaps Porzingis is not listed on Boston’s injury report.
He made his return against the Clippers after missing time recovering from offseason surgery to address a foot injury he sustained during the NBA Finals.
The Bulls, however, have several players listed on their injury report for the game against Boston.
Patrick Williams will be out, marking his sixth consecutive missed game due to a foot injury. Coby White, Dalen Terry, and Jalen Smith are all listed as questionable for the game.
White is dealing with a left wrist sprain, while Terry and Smith are both managing ankle injuries.
Lonzo Ball is listed as probable, as he continues to recover from a right wrist sprain. Ball has made his long-awaited return to the court this season after more than two years of absence due to injuries.
The Bulls have adopted a more three-point-heavy offensive style this year, although their personnel is not necessarily well-suited for shooting from beyond the arc.
