The Canadiens’ path to the playoffs is far from easy, with a demanding schedule that includes matchups against the Winnipeg Jets, Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Despite these problems, head coach Claude Julien remains optimistic, praising the mix of veteran leadership and young talent in the locker room. “We’ve got character players in that dressing room,” Julien stated, expressing confidence in his team’s ability to regroup and compete.
Meanwhile, the Winnipeg Jets enter Saturday’s game in a similar state of frustration. After surrendering two late goals in a 5-4 loss to the New York Islanders, the Jets are looking to solidify their position atop the Central Division.
