Wearable tech company Polar has introduced a new subscription-based service called Fitness Program, aimed at delivering personalized cardio workouts based on individual fitness levels and recovery metrics.
This latest innovation enhances Polar’s ecosystem by offering adaptive training that aligns with users’ personal progress and health data. It complements the existing Polar Flow platform, which remains free and unaffected by the new launch.
Seamless Integration with Polar Devices Enables Personalized Training Plans and Broad Accessibility
The Fitness Program integrates seamlessly with Polar’s ecosystem, drawing on heart rate and other biometric data from compatible Polar devices to create four-week cardio plans. These personalized routines are further enhanced with optional strength and mobility sessions. The system is designed to support users in maintaining a consistent training routine while allowing for flexibility in choosing rest or workout days.

At launch, the Fitness Program is accessible to users in the European Union, the UK, and Norway. Android users can use the feature immediately, while iOS support is expected to roll out later in Q2 2025. The program works with Polar’s current line-up of smartwatches, as well as several older models, making it broadly accessible to the brand’s existing customer base.
Community-Inspired Fitness Program Offers Personalized, Motivating, and Evolving Training Experience for Users
According to Polar, the Fitness Program was developed in direct response to user feedback. Joonas Rajaniemi, Business Director of Services, emphasized that the program is designed to meet the needs of a growing, motivated community looking for flexible, enjoyable, and rewarding training solutions. A six-month beta testing phase helped validate its effectiveness. Features like weekly and monthly milestones are built into help users stay motivated.
The Fitness Program is available for €9.99 per month, with new users offered a 14-day free trial to explore its features. By leveraging real-time physiological data, the program provides sport-specific session recommendations and adapts based on variables like sleep, recovery, and training load. This model ensures a highly tailored experience that evolves with each user’s journey, offering a modern approach to fitness training.
