A former Miami Dolphins player, Reshad Jones, has become the victim of a major financial fraud involving individuals he reportedly never knew personally. According to an arrest report, his ex-financial adviser, Isaiah Williams, allegedly used his access to Jones’ bank account to steal $1.58 million.
These stolen funds were reportedly spent on luxury purchases, legal expenses, and child support, highlighting a serious breach of trust and fiduciary duty.
Woman Charged in $2.6M Scheme, Merrill Lynch Faces Lawsuit Over Negligence
In addition to Williams, a woman named Octavia Monique Graham has been implicated in the case. Authorities allege that Graham helped launder another $1.03 million from Jones’ account, despite the former NFL player stating he had never met her. This brings the total sum involved in the fraud to over $2.6 million.
Graham, 49, now faces multiple charges, including first-degree grand theft and two counts of money laundering, and is currently held at the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Jones’ legal team has responded to the allegations with strong condemnation, asserting that this is another instance of a professional athlete being financially exploited.
His attorneys, Chase Carlson and Jeff Sonn, specifically called out Merrill Lynch, the investment arm of Bank of America, where Williams served as a Vice President. They have filed a lawsuit against the financial institution, aiming to hold it accountable and recover the damages suffered by their client.
Investigation Stalls as Key Suspect Remains Free, Raising Concerns Over Financial Justice
While Graham has been arrested, Williams, the alleged mastermind behind the initial theft, has not yet been taken into custody, according to reports.
This development raises questions about the pace of the investigation and the legal complexities involved in prosecuting white-collar financial crimes, particularly those within large financial institutions. The absence of an arrest in Williams’ case is likely to attract increased scrutiny from both legal experts and the public.
Reshad Jones enjoyed a successful decade-long career with the Miami Dolphins, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2015 and 2017. He entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft pick from Georgia in 2010 and played in 128 games, starting in 113 of them.
Over the course of his professional career, Jones reportedly earned over $56 million. The significant wealth he accumulated has unfortunately made him a target for financial exploitation, as seen in this troubling case.
