Charlotte Flair remains a pivotal figure in the world of professional wrestling, not only due to her illustrious lineage but also her remarkable performances in the WWE ring over the past decade.
With an impressive 14-time Women’s World Champion title to her name, Charlotte has consistently delivered exceptional in-ring performances, drawing admiration from both fans and aspiring wrestlers alike. Among these hopefuls is Haley J, known as “HollyHood,” and the daughter of Canadian wrestler Amazing Maria.
In an interview with WrestlingNewsCo’s Steve Fall, Haley J expressed her aspirations to hone her craft around the globe, starting from the United Kingdom and Japan, with the ultimate goal of making her mark in the WWE:
“Well, the WWE is always the goal,” Haley J stated when asked about her aspirations for the future. “WWE is the goal.”
When questioned about her dream opponent for her WWE debut, Haley J wasted no time in naming Charlotte Flair:
“I know she’s (Charlotte’s) hurt right now. So, she’s taking her time, I’m taking my time, and then boom! I’ll see you soon, honey.”
Charlotte’s absence from the ring follows a significant injury suffered during a match against her longtime rival Asuka on the December 8th Tribute to the Troops special episode of SmackDown. With a torn ACL, a torn meniscus, and a torn MCL, Charlotte is expected to be sidelined for the majority of this year.
