Kevin Fiala scored the game-winning goal against his former team, and the Los Angeles Kings finished strong to secure a 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Trevor Lewis scored twice for the Kings, who won their second game in as many nights. Warren Foegele and Quinton Byfield also found the net. Goaltender David Rittich made 23 saves on 24 shots.

Zach Bogosian scored for the Wild, who suffered their second loss in regulation this season (8-2-2). Goalie Filip Gustavsson allowed four goals on 27 shots.

The game remained scoreless until halfway through the second period when the Wild broke through. Bogosian scored on a long wrist shot through traffic that Rittich didn’t see in time, putting the puck past him for Bogosian’s first goal of the season.

With 5:48 remaining in the third, Byfield scored his first goal of the season, deflecting a shot from close range to make it 4-1.

Lewis sealed the win with an empty-net goal with 3:46 left, making it 5-1.
