A brawl erupted between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers in the eighth inning on Tuesday night, with punches being thrown.

The chaos started when Jose Siri grounded out against Brewers pitcher Abner Uribe at the beginning of the inning. Uribe and Siri got into a heated exchange near first base.

Uribe threw a punch at Siri, who then swung back at him. Both dugouts and bullpens quickly emptied as players rushed onto the field.

Milwaukee’s Rhys Hoskins tried to break up the fight but was knocked to the ground. The tension between Siri and the Brewers had been building throughout the game.

Earlier, Siri took a long look at his solo home run off Freddy Peralta in the third inning. In the sixth inning, Peralta hit Siri with a fastball on a 3-0 count, leading to ejections for Peralta and Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy.

Rays manager Kevin Cash expressed suspicion about the pitch that hit Siri and asked the umpires to discuss the situation. Plate umpire Chris Guccione explained that they determined Peralta was intentionally throwing at Siri based on previous events in the game.
