The Browns are exploring unconventional avenues for bolstering their defense.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Cleveland hosted a workout with defensive end Aaron Lynch on Monday.
At 31 years old, Lynch, a fifth-round pick for the 49ers in 2014, last played in 2020 with the Jaguars. During that season, he participated in eight games and tallied a sack, three quarterback hits, and one tackle for loss.
Lynch’s most notable season occurred in 2015 with the 49ers, where he amassed 6.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, and 21 quarterback hits.
Rapoport characterized Lynch’s session with the Browns as “positive.”
