Addressing the lessons from the 7-10 season in response to a query, Rodgers emphasized the need for the Jets to eliminate distractions. The four-time MVP, known for his regular appearances on “The Pat McAfee Show” throughout the year, including controversial remarks about talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, stressed the importance of maintaining a singular focus to break free from the team’s losing streak.
Rodgers urged a critical assessment of anything within the organization that does not contribute to real success. He emphasized, “If you aspire to be a winning organization, positioning yourself for championships and competitiveness, every action matters. Anything unrelated to winning must be removed from the equation. That will be our primary focus moving forward, including these exit interviews.”
While Rodgers did not specify particular instances, his dissatisfaction with certain aspects was apparent. He emphasized that organizational focus should not be a sporadic occurrence but an unwavering commitment every time.
