Adidas, the primary sponsor of Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, is reportedly advocating for his move to Real Madrid in 2025.

This aligns with Adidas’ longstanding partnership with Real Madrid, which has seen the apparel giant influence player transfers to the Santiago Bernabéu previously. According to Bild (via AS), Adidas also played a role in Jude Bellingham’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund to the Spanish capital and is now pushing for Wirtz to follow suit.

Real Madrid is reportedly interested in the German international, especially as they plan to part ways with club stalwarts Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić by 2025. Wirtz is seen as an ideal replacement, with Bild’s report suggesting that the 20-year-old prioritizes winning titles over financial gain.

Wirtz has been a standout performer for Bayer Leverkusen, contributing significantly to their Bundesliga campaign by scoring eight goals and providing 16 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions under Xabi Alonso this season.

Despite interest from other clubs, including Bayern Munich, Wirtz intends to remain at Leverkusen until 2025. The club has reportedly placed a hefty €130 million price tag on him.

In November 2023, Wirtz’s father addressed rumors of a potential move to Bayern, emphasizing that Florian’s focus is on the current season and his development at Leverkusen. He suggested that Leverkusen provides an ideal environment for Wirtz’s growth at this stage of his career.
