Despite nursing an injury, CM Punk has made appearances on WWE programming this month, including a backstage presence at several shows, with tonight’s RAW being no exception.
Although he didn’t grace the television screen, Punk made a post-show appearance. As Jey Uso grappled with the aftermath of an attack by his brother Jimmy, Cody Rhodes emerged, introducing the Straight Edge Superstar.
Addressing the Anaheim audience with a heartfelt promo, CM Punk commended their enthusiasm throughout the event and assured them of his return to action the next time RAW hits their city.
His words echoed: “This (injury) is a bump in the road, and I promise you the next time we are in Anaheim, I will be here, and I will have my boots on.”
With WrestleMania 40 on the horizon, speculation brews over Punk’s involvement. While sidelined from in-ring action due to his injury, the former AEW star might still play a significant role at The Show of Shows. Hosting ‘Mania could provide a platform to advance his ongoing rivalries, particularly with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
