Ryan Williams might still be in high school, but instead, he’s a 17-year-old college student handling requests for photos during his classes.

This is what happens to a top Alabama football recruit who was highly anticipated even before arriving at college.

The most surprising experience for Williams off the field? “Probably just being in class and people asking for a picture in the middle of class and you’re trying not to interrupt the professor.”

Williams has already made a big impact on the field. As a two-time Alabama high school Mr. Football and a top-5 prospect who moved up a year to start college early, he caught two passes in his debut for the fifth-ranked Crimson Tide.

Both catches were long touchdowns.

The first was an 84-yard reception down the right sideline on a third and 13 in the first quarter.

The second was a 55-yard crossing route, with two Western Kentucky defenders unable to catch him before he raced away in the second quarter.

In just those two catches, Williams gained 139 yards. Of course, these plays happened during a 63-0 victory, and tougher opponents are ahead.
