Reigning two-division MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin not only motivates his teammates to strive for greatness in their divisions but also infuses the gym with an extraordinary level of energy.
This sentiment was shared by his teammate Felipe Lobo during a recent interview on The AllStar’s YouTube channel, where he described Malykhin as a powerhouse of positivity:
“Anatoly is a monster, you know. He’s like a monster. He has a very good energy, you know. He’s the kind of fighter like whenever you see in the gym whenever you see him, he’s laughing, he’s screaming, like ‘Aargh, let’s go!’ Like crazy.”
Both Lobo and Malykhin are honing their striking skills in Thailand alongside other ONE Championship stars like ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade.
While ‘Sladkiy’ receives guidance from renowned boxing coach John Hutchinson, the Russian knockout artist is diligently preparing himself in the Land of Smiles for his upcoming fights.
Malykhin’s most recent triumph was a third-round TKO victory over Arjan Bhullar in June 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 22, where he unified the ONE heavyweight MMA world championship, solidifying his status as a two-weight titleholder in the process.
