Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins has resumed team activities following a brief absence spanning four games due to personal reasons.
ESPN’s Kendra Andrews shared footage of Wiggins taking part in Tuesday’s practice session.
In his tenth NBA season and fifth with the Warriors, the 29-year-old Wiggins transitioned from the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in his career. Across 51 games, with 40 starts this season, he’s maintained averages of 12.7 points, shooting at 45.5 percent, and 4.3 rebounds in 27.2 minutes per game.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr informed the press that Wiggins rejoined the team on Monday and is expected to play in Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks, with a high likelihood of starting. However, Kerr noted that the exact extent of Wiggins’ playing time is yet to be determined.

Wiggins has been instrumental in the Warriors’ resurgence, following a challenging 2019-20 season where they held the league’s worst record. Notably, his performance in the 2022 NBA Finals showcased his impact, ranking second in team scoring with 18.3 points per game and leading in rebounding with 8.8 per game. Furthermore, Wiggins secured a spot in the All-Star Game during the 2021-22 season.
Despite a tough year marked by injury setbacks and personal matters that saw him miss a chunk of games in the previous season, Wiggins returned for the playoffs.
His return comes at a critical juncture for the Warriors, who have shown strong form lately, winning 11 out of their last 14 games. However, their recent heavy defeat against the Boston Celtics underscores the need for improvement.
Facing the formidable Milwaukee Bucks presents another challenge, but Wiggins’ return is expected to bolster the team as they aim to recover from the setback.
