The competition for the Premier League title is heating up as Arsenal and Manchester City secured victories, tightening the race at the top.
Arsenal climbed back to the top spot with a 2-0 win over Luton, while City dominated Aston Villa 4-1 to draw level on points with second-place Liverpool.
With just one point separating the top three teams, the title race is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory. Despite the close competition, City, the three-time defending champion, remains confident in their abilities.
“If we’re still in contention with 10 games left, then we know we have what it takes,” said City forward Phil Foden, who scored a hat trick against Villa. “We’re back in the mix now, so it’s still possible. We just have to stay positive and keep fighting until the end.”
Liverpool briefly took the lead after their rivals drew on Sunday, but by the end of Wednesday’s matches, they found themselves chasing Arsenal again, with City close behind, albeit with a game in hand.
