Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran has signed a new contract that will keep him with the club until 2030, the Premier League team announced on Monday.
The Colombian player has had an impressive start to the season, scoring six goals across all competitions even though he has only made one start.
The 20-year-old Duran is known as a strong substitute and came off the bench to score the winning goal when Villa defeated Bayern Munich 1-0 in the Champions League last week.
Duran’s new contract comes less than two years after he joined Villa from MLS team Chicago Fire for around $23 million in January 2023.
He has made 59 appearances for Villa and scored a total of 14 goals.
