SPL powerhouse Al-Nassr has expanded its foreign contingent with the addition of Australia international Aziz Behich, who joins the ranks led by Cristiano Ronaldo. Freshly recruited to the Middle Eastern squad, Behich wasted no time in sharing his thoughts on the Portuguese icon.
The 33-year-old left-back, formerly of Melbourne City, arrives at the Knights of Najd on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, ready to sport the vibrant yellow jersey.
With a career spanning various European clubs like PSV Eindhoven, Istanbul Basaksehir, and Dundee United, Behich is the latest international talent to grace the Saudi Pro League following Ronaldo’s arrival in the country last year. Expressing his enthusiasm, Behich conveyed (via ESPN):
“The Saudi league is on a great trajectory, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”
Behich also lauded Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo, remarking:
“I’ve always admired his game. Although it hasn’t fully sunk in yet, given my focus is currently on my duties with the [Australia] camp. Once I arrive, I believe it’ll truly hit home.”
Despite his eagerness to line up alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Marcelo Brozovic, Behich clarified his intention to return to his hometown at the conclusion of the season.
