Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic has had surgery after breaking his collarbone during Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Stuttgart, the club announced on Sunday.
Pavlovic was injured in the eighth minute when he fell hard on his shoulder, and this injury will keep him out for “the coming weeks,” according to the team.
After the game, an examination confirmed the injury, and Pavlovic had successful surgery on Sunday morning.
This is another setback for the 20-year-old midfielder, who is seen as one of Germany’s top young players. He was part of the Germany squad for Euro 2024 but had to withdraw due to illness just four days before the tournament started.
Bayern’s next match is an away game against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.
