Thiago Silva’s wife Belle has issued an apology for her recent social media outburst following Chelsea’s 4-2 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday (February 4).
During the match, Belle Silva took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted a cryptic comment that left fans speculating about its meaning. She wrote:
“It’s time to change. If you wait any longer, it will be too late.”
Many fans interpreted this as a call for the club to make changes, particularly regarding manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has faced criticism amid Chelsea’s struggles this season.
However, Belle Silva has since expressed regret for her comment, emphasizing that her passion for Chelsea sometimes leads to emotional reactions. She clarified her intentions with a post on her X account:
“I’m sorry for the impact caused by my personal reaction as a passionate Chelsea fan. I am deeply committed to the team’s success and, like all supporters, I am disappointed by defeats. Our shared goal is a winning team. Let’s go, Chelsea!”
Chelsea’s loss to Wolves has left them in 11th place in the league standings, with Pochettino’s team facing a significant gap of 15 points from the top four.
