Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott announced on Monday that starting linebacker Matt Milano will start practicing again this week after missing three months due to a torn left biceps. However, Milano won’t be ready to play against Kansas City on Sunday.

This move begins a 21-day window for Milano to be activated from injured reserve. The Bills (8-2), who lead the AFC East, are heading into their bye week after hosting the Chiefs, so Milano’s earliest possible return will be for Buffalo’s home game against San Francisco on Dec. 1.

Milano hasn’t played in over 13 months, having missed the last 12 games of last season due to a broken right leg. The 30-year-old linebacker needed surgery to repair his biceps after injuring it during a training camp session in mid-August.

On Monday, McDermott also shared that rookie receiver Keon Coleman will miss his second straight game due to a wrist injury. He added that receiver Amari Cooper is improving and may return to play after missing two games with a wrist injury.

McDermott did not provide any updates on starting tight end Dalton Kincaid, who suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s 30-20 win at Indianapolis.
