Brady Cook ran for a 30-yard touchdown with 1:53 left, helping No. 24 Missouri defeat Arkansas 28-21 on Saturday at the snow-covered Faurot Field.

Cook completed 10 of 20 passes for 168 yards and also rushed for 63 yards on 12 carries for Missouri (9-3, 5-3 SEC).

After Cook’s touchdown, he passed to Luther Burden III for a 2-point conversion, giving the Tigers a 28-21 lead.

“That was a fourth-quarter win all the way to the end,” Cook said.

After the game, both teams got into a scuffle with some pushing and shoving before leaving the field.

“It was chippy out there tonight,” Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said. “But I hope they all understand there’s a lot of mutual respect. I respect the crud out of Arkansas and their program.”

Marcus Carroll rushed 22 times for 90 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Tigers win their 10th straight home game.

“It was just one of those games where you really had to want to tackle somebody,” Drinkwitz said. “It was pretty icy, and his ability just to continue to gain positive yards, get his shoulders down, was really impressive.”

Ja’Quinden Jackson ran for 87 yards and three touchdowns for Arkansas (6-6, 3-5), and Andrew Armstrong caught nine passes for 128 yards.

“I’m disappointed for our kids. I’m disappointed for the fans,” Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said. “I’m not disappointed with the effort but in the execution with the two turnovers that lead to two scores. They had zero, and it’s hard to beat a Top 25 team that way.”

Arkansas lost Landon Jackson to a neck injury with 1:07 left in the first half. He got hurt trying to tackle Missouri running back Jamal Roberts.

The Arkansas medical staff attended to Jackson for about 10 minutes before placing him on a backboard and taking him off the field in an ambulance. Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek said Jackson had movement in his extremities and was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

“Landon’s not only one of our better players, but he’s a great kid and a great leader for us,” Pittman said. “Yes, it’s scary, especially when I’m not able to be on the sideline seeing him.”

Pittman coached from the press box as he was preparing for hip surgery.

Ja’Quinden Jackson’s 9-yard touchdown put Arkansas ahead 21-20 with 4:19 left in the fourth quarter. Taylen Green helped set up the touchdown with a 25-yard pass to Armstrong on a fourth-and-8 play from the Missouri 40-yard line.

The Tigers had scored 10 straight points to take a 20-14 lead. Blake Craig kicked two field goals, and Carroll had a 1-yard touchdown run during that stretch.

Green completed 21 of 35 passes for 229 yards and rushed for 53 yards on 14 carries for Arkansas.

Ja’Quinden Jackson’s 12-yard touchdown run gave the Razorbacks a 14-7 lead with 11:41 remaining in the third quarter.
