This is a scary situation for Brandon Ingram and the Pelicans team. They’ve been playing really well lately and were hoping for a good playoff run.
During Thursday night’s game in Orlando, Brandon Ingram got hurt during a collision with Jalen Suggs. He fell to the ground and immediately grabbed his left knee. Coach Willie Green said after the game that Ingram was going to have an MRI and other tests on Friday. “It’s really hard to see him get hurt like that. We’re hoping for good news,” said Green.
Ingram has been averaging 20.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.
He’s also shooting 35.6% from 3-point range. He’s a key player for the team, known for creating scoring opportunities and being a strong defender.
The Pelicans are currently the fifth-best team in the Western Conference and are playing well heading into the playoffs. They’re only 1.5 games behind the fourth-seed Clippers but also 1.5 games ahead of the Mavericks and the Suns.
If Ingram is out for a while, it could hurt the team’s chances, especially if they start losing games towards the end of the season.
