Brittany Lincicome, a two-time major champion, announced on Friday that this will be her last season competing full-time on the LPGA Tour.

At 39 years old, Lincicome joined the tour in 2005 and has won eight tournaments, including the Chevron Championship, previously known as the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2009 and the ANA Inspiration in 2015.

Her final event of her 20th and last full season will be The Annika driven by Gainbridge, starting on November 14 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. Lincicome, who is from St. Petersburg, Florida, received a sponsor’s exemption to participate in this event.

“I’ve had a tremendous career on and off the golf course on the LPGA Tour, and I’m incredibly honored and humbled to have the opportunity to finish my final full-time season where everything started for me here in the Tampa Bay region,” Lincicome stated in a news release.

Throughout her career, Lincicome made 400 starts on the LPGA Tour, achieving 151 top-25 finishes and 66 top-10 finishes while earning nearly $10 million. Her latest victory was at the Bahamas LPGA Classic in 2018.

Lincicome, who has also been part of six U.S. Solheim Cup teams, wants to spend more time with her two young daughters. She clarified to Golfweek that this is not a retirement announcement and that she plans to participate in a few events each year.
