Caitlin Clark scored 28 points and had 12 assists as the Indiana Fever beat the Dallas Wings 100-93 on Sunday. The Fever managed to win despite Arike Ogunbowale hitting nine three-pointers, which tied a record.

Kelsey Mitchell added 36 points, including a three-pointer that put the Fever ahead by four with 1:58 left in the game. Both teams had won their previous three games.

Ogunbowale made 9 of 16 three-point attempts, surpassing her own record of seven but falling short of a record 10th three-pointer. She scored 34 points and also matched her career high with eight rebounds.

She tied the league record for most three-pointers in a game, which is also held by Mitchell (2019) and Jewell Loyd of Seattle (2023).

Mitchell praised Ogunbowale, saying, “I salute people like Arike because off the court, we’re really great friends. We tend to work out and train together in the offseason. I wasn’t expecting any other way coming from a person like that.”

Clark and Mitchell each made five three-pointers, helping the Fever shoot 50% from beyond the arc and 53% overall.

Clark said, “When you have two guards that are both making plays, it puts the other team in a tough position of what to take away, who to put on who.

We’re definitely shooting it well. We’re playing off each other well. We’re looking for each other, and we’re getting downhill, too. I think it’s been a good balance of everything.”

Clark had just scored a career-high 31 points in a previous game against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky. She also set a WNBA record with 19 assists in her first regular-season game in Texas, before the Olympic break, in a game the Fever lost 101-93.
