Caris LeVert led the way with 26 points, while Jarrett Allen contributed 21 points and 12 rebounds, propelling the Cleveland Cavaliers to a convincing 129-113 victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.
LeVert filled in for Donovan Mitchell, who was out due to injury management. Evan Mobley also played a crucial role with 21 points, and Sam Merrill provided a spark off the bench with 18 points, including six 3-pointers.
The Cavaliers displayed excellent teamwork, racking up 38 assists on 46 made baskets and shooting an impressive 54% from the field. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff praised their ability to make smart plays and capitalize on offensive opportunities.
Capitalizing on turnovers, Cleveland scored 26 points off 20 Jazz turnovers and maintained their lead throughout the game, ending a four-game road losing streak.
Utah’s Brice Sensabaugh had a standout performance with 22 points, matching his season high. Despite their efforts, the Jazz struggled without starters Lauri Markkanen and John Collins, as well as reserve center Walker Kessler, who suffered a nasal fracture.
Cleveland set the tone early in the game, jumping to a commanding 23-9 lead in the first quarter. Their strong offensive display continued as they shot 68% from the field and amassed 40 points in the quarter, sharing the ball effectively and finding open shots.
The Cavaliers’ dominance persisted in the second quarter, as they extended their lead to 67-47 at halftime, fueled by Allen and Mobley’s strong inside presence and a 17-2 run.
