Carlos Alcaraz has become increasingly popular after winning his second consecutive Wimbledon title in 2024. Known for his exceptional talent in tennis, the young Spaniard recently shared a surprising alternative career choice. While many would assume Alcaraz would be a sportsperson even if he wasn’t a tennis player, he revealed a different career path during a recent interview.

The 21-year-old tennis star has made a significant impact in the tennis world, especially after winning his first US Open in 2022 and ending the year as the youngest World No. 1. After his recent victory over Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon, Alcaraz reflected on what his life could have been like without tennis.

He revealed that if he hadn’t pursued tennis, he would have liked to become a lawyer, a choice influenced by his favorite TV show.

In a Spanish interview, Alcaraz answered several questions about his life and preferences. When questioned about an alternative career, he surprised many by expressing his interest in becoming a lawyer.

This interest was ignited by his enjoyment of the TV show “Suits,” which fascinated him with its depiction of the legal world. While his fans found it challenging to envision the energetic athlete in a courtroom, Alcaraz’s response revealed a different facet of his personality.

Interestingly, Alcaraz is not the only ATP Tour player who has considered a career in law. Earlier this year, Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur also expressed his interest in becoming a lawyer, largely due to his fondness for “Suits.” De Minaur humorously noted that he would enjoy being a lawyer if it didn’t involve all the studying. Alcaraz’s similar sentiments reflect a shared fascination among athletes with the legal drama.

Apart from his interest in law, Alcaraz also shared that a particular movie helped motivate him to win his first Grand Slam title. Before his US Open victory in 2022, he watched the movie “300” with his brother, which inspired him to play with fierce determination.

As he prepares for his next challenge, Alcaraz will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he will team up with Rafael Nadal for the doubles event. The event is eagerly anticipated and set to begin on July 26.
