Bears tight end Cole Kmet did something rare in today’s NFL: he scored a touchdown and then long snapped for the extra point.
First, Kmet made an impressive catch and ran for a 31-yard touchdown after receiving a pass from Caleb Williams in the second quarter.
After Bears long snapper Scott Daly injured his knee, Kmet took over the long snapping duties for the extra point. The snap was good, and the extra point was successful, putting the Bears ahead 7-3.
The Bears needed Kmet to perform today, and he delivered in two key ways.
