Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski initially planned to have quarterback Deshaun Watson play in Saturday’s preseason finale against the Seahawks, but that plan changed in the past few days.
On Saturday afternoon, the Browns announced that Watson will not be playing in Seattle.
Watson was limited in practice on Wednesday due to what Stefanski described as “general arm soreness” but participated fully in Thursday’s session.
The quarterback is recovering from a right shoulder injury that ended his 2023 season in November and required surgery.
Watson has not played in any preseason games this summer, so his first game since the injury will be on September 8 against the Cowboys.
