Despite previously mentioning a potential return to the UFC this summer, Conor McGregor is now fueling speculation that he could headline the upcoming UFC 300 event in Las Vegas on April 13.
The highly anticipated card, promised by UFC President Dana White to be one of the biggest in the promotion’s history, still lacks a main event.
Various notable names from the current roster and past stars have been associated with the event, but McGregor, the most significant pay-per-view draw in mixed martial arts history, could be the ideal candidate for the first professional action in the cage since the summer of 2021.
A tweet from McGregor over the past weekend adds weight to this possibility.

In response, Michael Chandler, a potential opponent who coached alongside McGregor on a season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ last year, swiftly accepted the proposal.
“I accept,” Chandler stated, accompanied by a handshake emoji. “See you soon.”
If McGregor participates in UFC 300, it will coincide with the online debut of his feature film, ‘Road House,’ scheduled for release on Amazon Prime on March 21, just a few days after St. Patrick’s Day.
Several high-profile bouts have already been confirmed for UFC 300, including a ‘BMF’ title fight between Justin Gaethje, a lightweight top contender matchup featuring Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira, among others.
