Conor McGregor is voicing his frustration with the UFC, citing a lack of dialogue regarding his potential return to the octagon. Despite his eagerness to step back into the spotlight, McGregor claims there have been no discussions with the organization about his comeback.
The Irish fighter has made his desires clear, expressing interest in facing Michael Chandler in June and Nate Diaz in September. However, UFC president Dana White has dismissed both propositions, casting doubt on McGregor’s fight prospects for the year.
McGregor asserts that he is actively seeking a bout but has encountered silence from the UFC’s end. Expressing his discontent, McGregor emphasizes the need for communication and clarity regarding his future in the sport.

“I hope we get some clarity with a date and we can push towards it. That would be great for me, June 29th and then the Sphere And then what? Then what happens then? I don’t know. And I wonder do they know? There’s been no talk about anything. So I wonder what next,” McGregor conveyed to talkSport.
The absence of engagement from the UFC concerning McGregor’s return leaves many puzzled. As one of the organization’s most prominent figures, fans eagerly anticipate his comeback, yet the reasons behind the UFC’s reluctance to facilitate his return remain unclear.
Since sustaining a leg injury in July 2021 during his bout against Dustin Poirier, McGregor has been on the sidelines, undergoing rehabilitation. Despite his readiness to compete, he has yet to secure his next fight. Prior to the injury setback, McGregor suffered a knockout defeat against Poirier following a triumphant return to the octagon with a victory over Donald Cerrone.
