Dan Campbell has many reasons to feel proud as he guides the Detroit Lions to success they haven’t seen in a long time.

Last season, the Lions won the NFC North, their first division title in thirty years, and achieved two playoff wins in one postseason for the first time since they claimed the NFL title in 1957.

However, Campbell has faced challenges with the Seattle Seahawks, losing to them in each of the past three seasons.

“You get tired of that,” he said. “You get tired of that after one loss, much less three.”

The Seahawks, currently leading the NFC West with a 3-0 record, have another chance to defeat the Campbell-led Lions (2-1) at Ford Field on Monday night.

Mike Macdonald watches from the sidelines in the 2nd half of the game

If Seattle continues their winning streak, Mike Macdonald will become only the second NFL coach under 40 to start a season 4-0 since 1933, following Josh McDaniels, who did it in 2009 with the Denver Broncos.

Despite being just 37 years old and in his first season with the Seahawks, the Lions know what Macdonald can do after they faced him as Baltimore’s defensive coordinator last year when the Ravens defeated Detroit 38-6.

“The game kind of got out of hand early,” said Macdonald, who was Michigan’s defensive coordinator under Jim Harbaugh in 2021.
