Hall of Famer Darrelle Revis recently shared insights into a poignant moment involving Tom Brady within the New England Patriots’ locker room during the tumultuous period of “Deflategate” in 2015. Revis recounted the emotional scene in the documentary series “The Dynasty: New England Patriots,” currently streaming on Apple TV+.
Reflecting on Brady’s demeanor amidst the controversy, Revis described a deeply affected quarterback addressing the team. “When Deflategate happened and Tom was the headliner of the whole situation, he addressed us as a team,” Revis recounted, revealing Brady’s visible distress. “You could tell he was distraught. He was actually bawling his eyes out in front of us.”
Supporting Revis’ depiction, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and former wide receiver Danny Amendola echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the ordeal’s toll on Brady.
The fallout from the Deflategate saga saw Brady handed a four-game suspension at the outset of the 2016 regular season, accompanied by a $1 million fine imposed on the Patriots and the forfeiture of two draft picks.
