The 49ers are ready to have running back Christian McCaffrey in the lineup for the first time this season when they play the Buccaneers on Sunday. Another important offensive player is also expected to be available.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been limited in practice all week because of rib and oblique injuries, and he was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report on Friday. However, multiple reports say Samuel will be playing against the Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon.
So far this season, Samuel has made 24 catches for 406 yards and a touchdown, along with 23 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown in seven games.
Defensive end Nick Bosa (hip) and safety Malik Mustapha (calf) are also listed as questionable for the 49ers. A preview of the game against the Buccaneers, along with a look at all of this week’s other games, can be found here.
