Detroit’s rookie minicamp will feature at least one player who has some experience in the NFL.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, defensive tackle T.J. Smith will join the Lions on a tryout basis during their rookie minicamp.
Smith, aged 27, has been with the Minnesota Vikings for the past three seasons, primarily serving on the team’s practice squad.
During this time, he has played in four games, with two appearances last year. In total, he has made 11 tackles, including one for a loss.
Smith began his NFL journey as an undrafted free agent with the Chargers in 2020, spending the season on their practice squad.
