Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill rejoined practice on Friday after a two-day absence from the team due to a fire at his Southwest Ranches, Florida, mansion. The incident occurred on Wednesday while Hill was at the team facility, prompting immediate permission for him to address the situation.

Fortunately, everyone inside the residence managed to evacuate safely. An investigation by the Davie Fire Rescue Department revealed that the fire originated from a child playing with a cigarette lighter in one of the bedrooms.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, drawing on his own experience of a home robbery nearly two decades ago, expressed his understanding of the emotional impact such incidents can have. McDaniel empathized with the feeling of violation associated with the destruction of one’s home, acknowledging the challenges of dealing with the aftermath despite having insurance. He emphasized the immediate life adjustment and the stress it brings, emphasizing Hill’s resilience and the support he has from his family and teammates.

Hill, displaying his strength both as an individual and a leader, participated in full practice on Friday. The Dolphins are gearing up for a crucial game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, with the winner securing the AFC East division title.

Heading into the contest, the Miami team faces challenges with cornerback Xavien Howard officially ruled out due to a foot injury and linebacker Bradley Chubb sidelined after surgery on his torn right ACL. Linebacker Jerome Baker, running back Raheem Mostert, and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle are listed as questionable for the game. However, right guard Robert Hunt, who has been recovering from a hamstring injury since Week 13, did not receive a game status designation in the final injury report.
