The World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, recently addressed the possibility of facing off against CM Punk.
Originally slated for the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in Perth, Australia, Punk’s participation was derailed due to a torn tricep sustained during the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. This injury sidelines the 45-year-old star for several months, depriving him of a coveted spot at WrestleMania.
In a recent interview with Wrestle Radio Australia, Rollins commented on Punk’s current situation, drawing parallels to Jon Moxley’s (formerly Dean Ambrose) critique of Punk’s perceived vulnerabilities.
The Visionary suggested that the Straight Edge Superstar must intensify his efforts to maneuver his way into contention for the World Heavyweight Championship.
“I don’t want to say I told you so, but myself and many others did. There’s a line – Fragile mind, fragile body, fragile ego. I believe someone I know mentioned that about him, and it holds.
Look, here’s the deal, and I conveyed this to him in the ring. You’ll have to earn it if you want to vie for the World Heavyweight Championship against me. He’s just going to have to put in a bit more effort now,” remarked Rollins.
