Young forward Endrick has clinched yet another championship with Palmeiras in Brazil before he makes his move to Real Madrid.
The 17-year-old helped Palmeiras secure their third straight São Paulo state championship with a 2-0 victory over local rival Santos.
Endrick, who scored two goals for Brazil in friendly matches last month, was involved in drawing the penalty that led to Raphael Veiga opening the scoring in the 33rd minute. Anibal Moreno added the second goal in the 67th minute. Santos had won the first leg 1-0.
Reflecting on his achievement with Palmeiras, Endrick expressed his aspirations of becoming a role model for children, despite facing challenges and criticism. He expressed gratitude to Palmeiras for their trust in him and dedicated the title to the club’s staff and fans.
Endrick, who has also been part of Palmeiras’ previous championship victories, will spend a little over two months more with the club before moving to Real Madrid in Spain on a lucrative contract. Despite his impending move, Endrick remains focused on his current team and appreciates the support he has received from his teammates and coaches.
