Shanghai will host the Asian Champions League in May 2025, introducing a brand-new esports series that will spotlight several high-profile competitive titles. The event boasts a total prize pool of $2,000,000 and will be organized by Hero Esports, the same company that played a role in managing tournaments during the Asian Games 2022 and the Esports World Cup 2024.
According to eTrueSports, The Asian Champions League 2025 will feature nine tournaments, each centered around a different game. Some of these tournaments will also function as qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025, which is set to take place in Riyadh later that summer.
The confirmed games include CrossFire, Counter-Strike 2, Honor of Kings, Dota 2, Teamfight Tactics, Street Fighter 6, and Delta Force, while tournaments for League of Legends and VALORANT are currently marked as “TBA.”

Prize pools range from $30,000 to $300,000, with team participation varying across titles—from as few as four teams in Dota 2 to twelve teams in Honor of Kings. Several of these events also offer qualifying slots for the Esports World Cup, with titles like Street Fighter 6 granting two such spots.
Although the complete participant lists for the tournaments are yet to be finalized, it has already been confirmed that several international teams will compete alongside Chinese squads. In the Counter-Strike 2 event, FlyQuest from Australia and The Huns Esports from Mongolia are set to take part.
For CrossFire, two Filipino teams—ARC Esports and UBECmaniacGT—have been confirmed to join the competition. The final rosters for each game will be released once all invitations have been sent out and the qualification rounds are completed.
