Framber Valdez pitched well for seven innings, and the Houston Astros made a comeback in the eighth inning, scoring four runs to defeat the Detroit Tigers 5-2 on Friday night.

Kyle Tucker, who hit a home run, played a crucial role by scoring twice for Houston, which has now won two consecutive games following a four-game losing streak.

Valdez (2-1) gave up only two runs and six hits, marking his first time pitching seven innings since early April. He has a strong record against the Tigers, with a 2.49 ERA in eight games, including seven starts.
