The official fight card for UFC Vegas 88: Ribas vs. Namajunas has been confirmed, featuring a total of 11 bouts set to take place at the UFC APEX.
Scheduled for March 23, UFC Vegas 88 will be exclusively streamed on ESPN+. The event’s main attraction is a flyweight clash between former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas and Amanda Ribas, with Namajunas making her second appearance in the 125-pound division following her debut against Manon Fiorot.
Unfortunately, Namajunas faced an early setback in that bout due to a hand injury, leading to a decision loss. Her move to flyweight comes in the aftermath of losing the strawweight title in a rematch against Carla Esparza.
Ribas, an experienced competitor in the 125-pound category, returns to flyweight following a notable victory at 115 pounds against Luana Pinheiro.
The co-headlining bout at UFC Vegas 88 features Kurt Holobaugh, winner of The Ultimate Fighter 31 lightweight division, facing Trey Ogden.
Holobaugh secured victory in the TUF tournament by submitting Austin Hubbard in August, while Ogden’s previous fight against Nikolas Motta ended in a no-contest due to a referee’s error during the stoppage.
