Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs’ brother Rhodri has asserted that he possessed the capability to tarnish the former Welsh midfielder’s reputation by disclosing various accounts to the media. However, he emphasized that he refrained from such actions.
The relationship between Ryan Giggs and his brother Rhodri has been strained since the revelation of the former Manchester United midfielder’s extramarital affair with Rhodri’s wife, Natasha Lever, which surfaced in 2011. During this period, Giggs was unfaithful to his then-wife, Stacey Cooke.
In a recent interview with The Outside Club’s YouTube channel, Rhodri disclosed that he had been accused of selling stories to the media on multiple occasions.
He maintained that if he had intended to sell stories, he would have done so earlier. Rhodri also mentioned being privy to certain stories that could have severely damaged his brother’s reputation. He stated:
“If I was going to sell some stories I’d have done it last year and buried this p****, buried him. There’s some stories I know that could have buried him, so if I wanted to sell stories I’d do it, but why would I want to do that? Why? I wouldn’t.”
While Rhodri acknowledged being aware of numerous stories involving the former Manchester United midfielder, he opted to remain silent, a choice echoed by many others. Nonetheless, he advised his elder brother to mature, remarking:
“I’m not that bitter and not that twisted, but he needs to be careful, because I could have. A lot of people could have, but they didn’t, and it’s all from him making the choices he’s made, no one else. You can’t go through life and this nice, innocent family man when you’re banging everything in sight. How old is he, 48, 49? He needs to grow the f*** up.”
Rhodri also disclosed that when Ryan Giggs’s affair with Natasha Lever came to light, their mother sided with the former Red Devils star. Despite this, Rhodri asserted that he has moved past the incident and remains open to communication should Ryan choose to reach out.
