Wide receiver Garrett Wilson and quarterback Aaron Rodgers haven’t connected as well as the Jets had hoped in the first five weeks, but Wilson is not against the idea of adding a receiver with more experience with Rodgers.
That receiver is Davante Adams, who has reportedly asked to be traded from the Raiders and is said to be considering the Jets as a potential new team.
Some people have speculated that Wilson might lose his spot if Adams joins the team, but Wilson stated on Friday that he is not worried about that.
“Yeah, that’d be cool man,” Wilson said, via SNY. “I feel like it’s cool if we can get him over here. Like I always say ‘If someone can help us win, let’s do it.’ Right on.”
Wilson and the Jets will need to aim for a win against the Vikings in London without Adams, and a strong performance from his partnership with Rodgers could change the Jets’ thinking about making a trade.
