Scottie Scheffler ascended to the top of the 2024 FedEx Cup points standings in March following his victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Twenty-six weeks later, the 28-year-old from Texas solidified his dominance, becoming the first No. 1 seed to win the Tour Championship since Patrick Cantlay in 2021, and just the sixth player to achieve this feat.

Starting the week at 10 under par, Scheffler ended at a staggering 30 under, securing a four-stroke victory over Collin Morikawa. This triumph earned him the season-long FedEx Cup title and a $25 million bonus.

The 2024 season saw Scheffler claim seven PGA Tour victories, including marquee wins at the Masters, the Players Championship, and four other signature events. Additionally, he captured an Olympic gold medal.

On the course, Scheffler amassed a record-breaking $29,228,357 in earnings, complemented by $32 million in bonuses, which included an $8 million payout for topping the Comcast Business year-long rankings.

John Strege provides a detailed breakdown of Scheffler’s 2024 earnings by rounds, shots, and more in a separate post.

Below is the final 2024 FedEx Cup points list, reflecting results from the Tour Championship along with the season’s bonus prize payouts.

The 2024 PGA Tour season featured 36 regular-season events preceding a three-event playoff series that culminated at East Lake.

Winners of standard regular-season events were awarded 500 FedEx Cup points, while champions of the eight signature events earned 700 points.

Victors of the four majors and the Players Championship received 750 points, and winners of events held during the same weeks as majors or signature events earned 300 points.

Key Points from the 2024 FedEx Cup

  • Players finishing within the top 70 in the standings secured their PGA Tour cards for 2024 and qualified for the playoffs.
  • Those in the top 50 after the FedEx St. Jude Championship advanced to the BMW Championship and also earned entry into the 2025 signature events.
  • Players in the top 30 after the BMW Championship moved on to the Tour Championship, competing for the $25 million top prize from a $100 million bonus pool.

Fall Events and Remaining Opportunities

Although the 2024 season is officially over, eight Fall events remain, giving players the chance to earn additional FedEx Cup points.

For those ranked outside the top 50, these events are crucial to securing a spot within the top 125 in the standings, thereby ensuring eligibility for 2025 signature events and retaining their PGA Tour cards.

The final opportunity to maintain a top-125 standing comes at the RSM Classic, the last official event of the 2024 calendar year. Players who did not compete in the FedEx Cup playoffs, as well as those outside the top 50, have work to do.

Notably, the FedEx Cup points have been updated to reflect Rafael Campos’ victory at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
