The Packers had listed receiver Romeo Doubs as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Rams due to personal issues.
Reports then surfaced that Doubs was missing practice because he was unhappy with his role on the team.
Now, the Packers have suspended Doubs for one game for actions that are harmful to the team, as announced by Green Bay on Saturday.
“Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week’s game,” said General Manager Brian Gutekunst in a statement.
“His choices and behavior during the week had a negative impact on the team, which forced us to take this action.
While we are disappointed, we believe we can move forward positively. Romeo is an important part of our team, and we look forward to having him back next week.”
So far this season, Doubs has 12 catches for 169 yards without any touchdowns.
The Packers are also likely to be without another receiver, Christian Watson, for the game against the Rams. He is listed as doubtful after not practicing all week due to an ankle injury.
