Jonah Heim hit a solo home run in the ninth inning, tying the game, and Nathaniel Lowe followed with an RBI single in the 10th, giving the Texas Rangers a 3-2 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday.

With one out in the 10th, Corey Seager singled, putting runners on first and third. Lowe then drove in Leody Tavares with his third RBI of the series.

David Robertson pitched a scoreless 10th inning, securing the win and earning his first save of the season, even after intentionally walking Bobby Witt Jr. with two outs.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy praised both the offense, highlighted by Heim and Lowe’s clutch hits, and the pitching, with Jon Gray’s solid seven innings and strong bullpen performances.

Heim’s ninth-inning home run ended the team’s four-game drought and tied the game at 2.

Gray delivered a strong start, allowing two runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts and no walks over seven innings. The win improves the Rangers’ record in rubber games to 3-3 this season, while the Royals drop to 1-5.
