Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has initiated production of the BF350, the latest addition to the BF Series outboard motors. This model, equipped with a powerful V8 engine boasting 350 horsepower, stands as the flagship in Honda’s marine outboard lineup.
The BF350, powered by a newly developed 4,952 cm3 V8 engine, promises robust propulsion with a focus on quiet operation and low vibration, achieved through an innovative crankshaft design. Additionally, Honda emphasizes environmental responsibility and cost-effectiveness, securing top-tier fuel economy in its class.
The BF350 introduces features such as cruise control, allowing users to set and maintain a desired boat speed or engine rpm, and trim support, automatically adjusting the outboard motor to maintain a preset trim angle. An automatic tilt function simplifies operations during docking or storage, enhancing customer convenience.
This outboard motor also incorporates a range of design enhancements for durability and reliability, including a large-capacity alternator for efficient battery charging and improved ease of maintenance with features like an anode to prevent corrosion and a redesigned engine cover for easier attachment/detachment.
The “Noble Motion Form” design concept imparts a sense of luxury fitting for the flagship model, maintaining the series’ unity with nature while elevating the overall aesthetic. The DBW remote controller undergoes a redesign for both functional beauty and improved operability, aligning with the “Noble Motion Form.”
Key features of the BF350 include a high-power and fuel-efficient V8 engine, advanced support functions for boat operation, adoption of a large-capacity alternator, and enhanced ease of maintenance. The design concept focuses on simplicity, cleanliness, and a sense of unity with nature while incorporating a touch of luxury suitable for the flagship model.
