ESPN has released their prediction for the upcoming playoff game, and it’s not in the Texans’ favor. They give the Chiefs a 62.4% chance to win, while the Texans have just a 37.6% chance.
This isn’t a surprise, as the Chiefs are two-time defending champions and already defeated the Texans earlier this season.
Houston, however, is accustomed to being the underdog and will likely use this as motivation to prove they can defy the odds.
Despite the prediction, the Texans have the talent to pull off an upset. Quarterback C.J. Stroud and the offense will need to play better than they did in the Wild Card, where they started slow. They’ll need to put up points to keep up with Mahomes.
