Hsieh Su-Wei won a trophy at Wimbledon for the fourth time in her last four appearances.
After losing in the women’s doubles semifinals, Hsieh partnered with Jan Zielinski to win the mixed doubles final on Centre Court. They defeated the Mexican pair Santiago Gonzalez and Giuliana Olmos 6-4, 6-2.
The match ended with Hsieh serving out love, as Olmos’ return went long. Hsieh and Zielinski celebrated by taking a selfie together while waiting for the trophy.
Hsieh has now won four Wimbledon doubles titles, winning in 2019, 2021, and 2023.
The tournament was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, and she was injured in 2022.
This victory marks Hsieh’s first mixed doubles title at Wimbledon. Earlier this year, she and Zielinski also won the Australian Open.
The mixed doubles final was scheduled after Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in the men’s final, and it was the last match of this year’s tournament to conclude.
