The FBS season record-holder for completion percentage struggled with accuracy during the session, missing throws in team drills and one-on-ones.
Nix’s underthrown wheel route to USC running back Marshawn Lloyd gained attention on social media, but he also had issues with underthrown routes and inconsistent decision-making throughout the practice.
Despite being known for accuracy on film, Nix appeared late to trigger and somewhat anxious in this unfamiliar environment. In a hypothetical competition for the best quarterback in Mobile, Nix wouldn’t rank first, second, and likely not even third.

On the other hand, South Alabama’s QB Carter Bradley, a second-team All-Sun Belt performer, had an impressive day. While not showcasing exceptional arm strength, Bradley threw accurate spirals with good rhythm, performing well in team passing drills and 11-on-11 sessions. He undertook a route outside the numbers but was generally impressive throughout the day.

Spencer Rattler from South Carolina improved as the day progressed, particularly shining in 11-on-11 sessions. He cycled through reads effectively, hitting back-side curl routes and connecting with teammate Xavier Legette on a corner route to finish practice.
Speaking of Legette, he displayed improved urgency and confidence in route-running on Day 2, getting open consistently in one-on-ones and team drills. Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall from Florida showcased their speed and well-rounded skills, making a contested catch down the sidelines.

While still one of the best-performing wide receivers, Thrash had a mixed day, creating separation consistently but missing some catch opportunities. McConkey faced challenges against press coverage but remained an impressive prospect overall.
Walker struggled with drops and press coverage, potentially affecting his stock negatively. Among tight ends, Theo Johnson from Penn State stood out with his fluidity, size, and consistent catching ability, while A.J. Barner from Michigan showcased NFL-caliber movement skills but struggled with contested catches.
Running back Davis emerged as the standout at the Senior Bowl, showcasing both size and utility in the passing game. On the other hand, USC’s Marshawn Lloyd faced ball security concerns during team drills, highlighting a consistent issue seen on film.
