Manchester United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, reportedly received a lucrative offer to join Al Hilal during the January 2024 transfer window. According to Mufcmpb on X (formerly Twitter), Fernandes turned down the substantial proposal from Al Hilal, although specific details regarding the offer were not disclosed.
In the 2023-24 season, Al Hilal made significant moves in the transfer market, securing notable signings such as Neymar, Malcolm, Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Renan Lodi, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Bono from various European clubs.
Currently, they maintain an undefeated record and lead the Saudi Pro League standings with 53 points from 19 matches, positioning them seven points ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.
Meanwhile, Fernandes assumed the role of club captain at Manchester United for the 2023-24 campaign. Despite the team’s struggles this season, Fernandes has contributed seven goals and six assists in 30 appearances for the Red Devils.
United’s performance has been lackluster, with exits from the EFL Cup and the Champions League, along with a seventh-place position in the Premier League table.
